HABÂ
Documentary Shortfilm
Habâ tells the story of the disappearance of Sahar, a 22-year-old woman who was on the run to escape the violence of her family. Without knowing whether she had fallen victim to a crime, the film follows the clues and sets off on a search for Sahar. The journey begins at the Dead Sea, the place of her disappearance, and a puzzling search for traces begins, exploring the entire time and timelessness of human existence in different places.
Every landscape has its own ghost: Sahar's story interweaves with the untold stories of other women who have mysteriously disappeared or been killed by their male relatives. An enigmatic space opens up in which the viewer is slowly drawn into a cinematic intervention that revives these ghosts.
